Target Information
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that participates in the N-end rule pathway. It recognizes proteins with destabilizing N-terminal residues, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. Together with clathrin, it forms meshwork structures involved in membrane morphogenesis and cytoskeletal organization. It regulates integrin-mediated signaling and may activate FAK in response to cell-matrix interactions. Also mediates ubiquitination of ACLY, resulting in its degradation.
