- MA5-15859 targets c-Rel in indirect ELISA, IF, and IHC applications and shows reactivity with human and mouse samples.
- In Western blot, MA5-15859 detects recombinant c-Rel and transfected cell lysates only.
- Immunogen: purified recombinant fragment of human c-Rel expressed in E. coli.
- Detects c-Rel with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 78 kDa.
Target Information
The REL gene encodes c-Rel, a transcription factor belonging to the Rel/NF-κB family, which includes RELA, RELB, NFKB1, and NFKB2.
These proteins share a highly conserved N-terminal Rel domain responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and interaction with the NF-κB inhibitor (Belguise and Sonenshein, 2007).
