Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes that package and organize DNA. Histones play essential roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.

Post-translational modifications of histone H3, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and the binding of transcription factors, affecting gene expression and cellular processes.
