Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened for optimal production.

Target Information

Ribosomes catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S and large 60S subunit, composed of RNA and ~80 proteins. The RPS6 gene encodes a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein of the 40S subunit, part of the S6E family.
RPS6 is a major substrate for ribosomal protein kinases, with C-terminal serine residues phosphorylated by various kinases. Phosphorylation is induced by growth factors and mitogens; dephosphorylation occurs during growth arrest.
This protein contributes to the regulation of cell growth and proliferation via selective mRNA translation. Multiple processed pseudogenes exist throughout the genome.
