Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The CFHR3 gene encodes a secreted protein that belongs to the complement factor H-related protein family. This protein binds to heparin and may play a role in complement regulation. Mutations in CFHR3 are associated with a decreased risk of age-related macular degeneration and an increased risk of atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
