Product Specific Information
Clone M005 detects a 50–65 kDa band corresponding to the molecular mass of Trop-2 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of native human A431, MDA-MB-231, and MCF-7 cell lysates.
The antibody also detects denatured Trop-2 with lower affinity, so lower dilutions should be used for denatured western blot.
Clone M005 is suitable for Western blot, immunocytochemistry, ELISA capture, and immunoprecipitation, as well as for detecting live unfixed cells.
Target Information
TROP2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen defined by the monoclonal antibody GA733.
This antigen belongs to a family of type I membrane proteins and functions as a cell surface receptor that transduces intracellular calcium signals.
Mutations in the TROP2 gene cause gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe corneal amyloidosis leading to blindness.
