For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

HES family members form a complex with TLE, the mammalian homologue of Groucho, mediated by the carboxy terminal WRPW motif. The HES/TLE complex binds directly to DNA rather than interfering with activator proteins.
Most HES proteins, including HES1 and HES5, preferentially bind to the N box (CACNAG) rather than the E box (CANNTG).
HES2 binds both N and E boxes, while HES6 does not bind DNA but inhibits HES1 activity, promoting transcription.
HES1 and HES2 are expressed in various adult and embryonic tissues; HES3 in cerebellar Purkinje cells; HES5 in the nervous system; and HES6 in brain and developing limb buds.
