For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

HES family members form complexes with TLE, the mammalian homologue of Groucho, mediated by the WRPW motif. The HES/TLE complex binds directly to DNA rather than interfering with activator proteins.
Most HES proteins, including HES1 and HES5, bind preferentially to the N box (CACNAG). HES2 binds both N and E boxes, while HES6 does not bind DNA, instead inhibiting HES1 activity to promote transcription.
HES family expression patterns:

• HES1, HES2: Various adult and embryonic tissues
• HES3: Cerebellar Purkinje cells
• HES5: Nervous system only
• HES6: Brain and limb buds of developing embryos
