The eBioclone 7 monoclonal antibody was generated against a mouse c-Met-Ig fusion protein and reacts with mouse c-Met-transfected cells.
Mouse c-Met (HGFR) is a 170 kDa receptor tyrosine kinase expressed by epithelial cells of the brain, kidney, liver, and other tissues. Binding of its ligand, Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF), triggers receptor autophosphorylation and activation of downstream effectors including ERK-1, ERK-2, and PLCγ.
Activation of the c-Met signaling pathway leads to cellular responses such as motility, scattering, proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis. Mutations in human c-Met have been implicated in various malignancies.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse c-Met-transfected 293T cells. Use ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.
Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
MET (cMET) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase involved in cell growth, motility, and morphogenesis. Dysregulation is associated with various human cancers.
Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3K subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, activating signaling cascades including RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET plays roles in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron formation, angiogenesis, kidney formation) and adult processes (wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling).
It is a key target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostic research.
