Description:
The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39, also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1) or NTPDase. CD39 is an integral membrane protein with two transmembrane domains and exists as a homotetramer. It functions to remove toxic extracellular ATP by converting it to ADP or AMP. CD39 works with CD73 to hydrolyze ATP and is expressed on activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes. It is also found on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their entry into inflamed areas with high ATP levels. Expression on Foxp3⁺CD4⁺ cells ranges from 25–45%.

Each product contains one vial of NovaFluor conjugate and one vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Applications Reported:

• Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Pre-titrated for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
• Use at 5 µL (0.4 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
• Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for compatibility.
• This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which improves staining performance.
• Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample or per 100 µL of cell sample for single-color controls.
• NovaFluor conjugates use Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kDa cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It has intrinsic ecto-ATPase activity and is induced on T cells and upregulated on B cells as a late activation antigen.
