Product Specific Information
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain band.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, then screened for optimal performance.

Target Information
MAP3K8 (COT) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates MAP and JNK kinase pathways and plays a role in the cell cycle.
MAPK signaling cascades involve MAPK/ERK, MAPK kinase (MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MEKK). MEKK phosphorylates and activates MEK, which then activates MAPK.
The kinases are highly conserved across species including yeast, Drosophila, and mammals.
MEKK8 activates NF-kappa-B1 by stimulating proteasome-mediated proteolysis of NF-kappa-B1/p105. This cytoplasmic protein is expressed in normal tissues and tumor-derived cell lines. The 58 kDa form is activated during S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle. The longer form undergoes phosphorylation mainly on Ser residues, and the shorter form on both Ser and Thr residues.
