Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The ARFGAP3 gene encodes a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) associated with the Golgi apparatus that regulates the early secretory pathway of proteins. It promotes hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP, enabling dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles—a prerequisite for vesicle fusion with target compartments. Its activity is phospholipid-sensitive. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist. This gene was previously referred to as ARFGAP1, which now denotes a distinct gene.
