Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SOX11-C1 recognizes human Sox11, a transcription factor belonging to the SOX (sex determining region Y-related HMG Box) family. Sox11 is expressed in the developing central nervous system during embryogenesis and shares sequence homology with Sox4. It plays a role in neuronal maturation and epithelial-mesenchymal interactions, essential for the survival of neuronal and mesenchymal progenitor cells.
Sox11 expression is observed in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), subsets of hairy cell leukemias, Burkitt lymphomas, and B cell lymphoblastic leukemias, but not in other B cell lymphomas or normal B lymphocytes. It is also expressed in epithelial ovarian cancer and gliomas.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is suitable for use in flow cytometry, western blotting, immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue), and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested:
- IHC (P): Tested using low/high pH antigen retrieval, ≤5 µg/mL recommended.
- ICC/IF: Tested on fixed and permeabilized cells, ≤5 µg/mL recommended.
Careful titration is advised for optimal assay performance.
Purity: Greater than 90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, determined by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
