Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, thereby inactivating its kinase activity. PTP1B plays roles in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signaling cascades and regulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling, influencing cell reorganization and repulsion. It also modulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor (MET) signaling through dephosphorylation.
