This YKIX337.217 monoclonal antibody reacts with canine CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–37 kDa N-glycosylated cell adhesion molecule.
CD90 is expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T cells, some B cells, monocytes, and granulocytes (lower levels), as well as bone marrow, brain, kidney, and mesenchymal stem cells.

This antibody has been reported to deplete cells both in vitro and in vivo.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry on normal canine peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
CD90 plays a role in cell-cell and cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other brain processes.
It serves as a marker for various stem cells and axonal processes of mature neurons.
Structural studies of CD90 contributed to defining the Immunoglobulin superfamily and the first biochemical characterization of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
Diseases associated with CD90 dysfunction include nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
