Product Specific Information
The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRI alpha is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which possess immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAM). The FcεRI complex is critical in triggering IgE-mediated allergic responses.

Target Information
FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha) is a subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex (αβγ₂) where the β and γ subunits mediate signal transduction. This receptor plays a key role in allergic responses by coupling allergen-bound IgE to mast cells, leading to histamine and protease release, and synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes—potent mediators of hypersensitivity reactions such as hay fever and asthma.
