Product Specific Information

1 µg/mL of MA5-45466 was sufficient for detection of Beta 3 GABA receptor in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 55 kDa. No cross-reactivity against GABA-A-R-Beta 2 or Beta 1.

Target Information

Gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) is a major inhibitory neurotransmitter found throughout the central nervous system.
GABA is formed by decarboxylation of glutamate and exists as two receptor types: GABA-A and GABA-B.
Binding of GABA to GABA-A receptors increases chloride ion influx into neurons, leading to signal repression.
Deficiency in GABA-mediated signaling can result in blackouts, rapid body contractions, seizures, and epilepsy.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
