Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the optimal candidates for production.
Advantages:
- Improved specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
p27 Kip1 functions as a negative regulator of G1 phase progression and is proposed to mediate TGFβ-induced G1 arrest. It is a key regulator of cell cycle progression and a potent inhibitor of cyclin E- and cyclin A-CDK2 complexes. p27 Kip1 forms complexes with cyclin D-CDK4, influencing assembly, stability, and activation of CCND1-CDK4 complexes. Its activity depends on phosphorylation state and stoichiometry. p27 Kip1 (~27 kDa) degradation, triggered by CDK-dependent phosphorylation and ubiquitination by SCF complexes, is essential for the transition from quiescence to proliferation.
