Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

GluR1 (glutamate receptor 1) is an ionotropic glutamate receptor. L-glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter at many synapses in the central nervous system. Binding of L-glutamate induces conformational changes that open the cation channel, converting chemical signals to electrical impulses. The receptor then rapidly desensitizes into a transient inactive state with a bound agonist. In the presence of CACNG4, CACNG7, or CACNG8, GluR1 exhibits resensitization characterized by delayed current accumulation during continuous glutamate exposure.
