Target Information
UBE2D2 encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family, which functions in the ubiquitination of proteins such as the tumor-suppressor protein p53. Ubiquitination involves E1 (activating), E2 (conjugating), and E3 (ligase) enzymes that regulate protein degradation. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encode distinct isoforms of UBE2D2.
