Target Information
MRPL42는 포유류 미토콘드리아 리보솜 단백질로, 핵 유전자에 의해 암호화되어 미토콘드리아 내 단백질 합성에 관여합니다. 미토콘드리아 리보솜은 28S 소단위와 39S 대단위로 구성되며, 단백질과 rRNA의 비율이 약 75%로, 원핵 리보솜과는 반대입니다. 포유류 미토콘드리아 리보솜은 5S rRNA를 포함하지 않으며, 종에 따라 단백질 서열과 생화학적 특성이 다양합니다. MRPL42 유전자는 28S 및 39S 단위 모두에 속하는 단백질을 암호화하며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 다양한 전사체가 생성됩니다. 또한 4q, 6p, 6q, 7p, 15q 염색체에 해당 유전자의 유사유전자가 존재합니다.
