Product Specific Information
This antibody detects a significant 50 kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of draxin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of rat PC12 cells, rat P1 brain, and chick E9 brain. The antibody also shows low expression of draxin in adult mouse brain.
Target Information
Draxin is a chemorepulsive axon guidance protein required for the development of spinal cord and forebrain commissures. It acts as a chemorepulsive guidance protein for commissural axons during development, inhibiting or repelling neurite outgrowth from the dorsal spinal cord. Draxin also inhibits the stabilization of cytosolic beta-catenin (CTNNB1) via interaction with LRP6, functioning as an antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway.
