Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MCP-2 (CCL8). The antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant using Protein G affinity chromatography.

Sandwich ELISA:
For 100 µL/well, a concentration of 2.0–4.0 µg/mL of this antibody detects at least 500 pg/mL of Recombinant Human MCP-2 (CCL8) when used with PeproTech Biotinylated Antigen Affinity Purified Anti-Human MCP-2 (CCL8) (500-P35BT) as detection antibody at 1.0–2.0 µg/mL.

Western Blot:
To detect Human MCP-2 (CCL8), use at 0.25–0.50 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human MCP-2 (CCL8) is 0.25–0.50 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This antimicrobial gene is part of a chemokine gene cluster on chromosome 17q. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, classified into four subfamilies based on N-terminal cysteine arrangement. MCP-2 (CCL8) belongs to the CC subfamily, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues. It exhibits chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, and eosinophils, contributing to leukocyte recruitment at inflammation sites and potentially to tumor-associated infiltration and antiviral defense against HIV infection.
