Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency achievable only through recombinant production.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, enabling higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains an identical known mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating the biological variability typically associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

CCR3 (C-C chemokine receptor type 3) binds to eotaxin, eotaxin-3, MCP-3, MCP-4, RANTES, and MIP-1 delta. It transduces signals by increasing intracellular calcium ion levels and can serve as an alternative co-receptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Chemokines and their receptors play key roles in inflammation and immune cell recruitment, with CCR3 belonging to the CCR subclass of G protein-coupled chemokine receptors.
