The 364/3B3-14 antibody reacts with human interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α).
It is validated for use as a capture antibody in human IL-1α ELISA and for intracellular staining in flow cytometric analysis.
Recommended usage: ≤ 1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Careful titration is advised for optimal assay performance.
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Post-manufacturing filtration: 0.2 µm.

Target Information

IL-1 alpha (Interleukin-1α) is a proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Encoded by the IL1A gene on chromosome 2q13, IL-1α signals through IL-1RI and IL-1RII receptors shared with IL-1β.
It triggers production of other proinflammatory cytokines and acute-phase responses.
IL-1α activity is regulated by IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA).
It influences NF-κB and MAPK pathways, enhances IL6 and COX-2 expression, and promotes nitric oxide production.
High IL-1α levels are associated with chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
