The monoclonal antibody OX90.1 recognizes mouse CD200 (OX2), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig domains, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic regions. CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B cells, subsets of T cells, keratinocytes, peripheral and central nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells. Interaction with CD200R modulates immune responses by attenuating macrophage activation and cytokine production (IL-6, TNF-α, IL-13).

Target Information
CD200 is a type I membrane glycoprotein with two immunoglobulin domains, belonging to the Ig superfamily. It is widely expressed and interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation. Homologues are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses. CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals in various tissues. Multiple splice variants exist. Associated diseases include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
