MAPK1 (ERK2)는 serine/threonine kinase로, p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, Stat3 등의 활성화에 관여하며 MAPK 경로의 핵심 인자입니다. ERK2는 세포 증식, 분화, 전사 조절, 발달 등 다양한 세포 과정에 참여하며, 상위 kinase에 의해 인산화되어 활성화됩니다. 활성화된 ERK2는 세포핵으로 이동해 핵 내 표적을 인산화합니다.
