For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

STAT1 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 1) is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. It can be activated by interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, and IL6. STAT1 regulates genes involved in cell growth, apoptosis, immune responses, and lipid metabolism.
Located on chromosome 2, STAT1 mediates gene expression in response to extracellular signaling molecules such as cytokines, interferons, and growth factors. Upon phosphorylation by JAK tyrosine kinases, STAT1 translocates to the nucleus to regulate transcription.
STAT1, along with STAT3, STAT5a, and STAT5b, has a broad activation profile. It is activated by ligands including IFN family (IFN-α, IFN-β, IFN-γ, IL-10), gp130 family (IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF), and receptor tyrosine kinases (EGF, PDGF, CSF-1).
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms of STAT1 have been identified.
