Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BUBR1 (BUB1B) is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and a key component of the mitotic checkpoint that ensures proper chromosome attachment before anaphase. Defects in this checkpoint can lead to genetic instability and malignant transformation.
Human cells express two related checkpoint kinases, hBUBR1 and hBUB1, both monitoring kinetochore-microtubule interactions.
BUBR1 is essential for normal mitotic progression and prevents premature anaphase onset. It has been detected in various human cancers and identified as a binding partner of BCSG1, which may promote breast cancer progression by compromising mitotic checkpoint control.
