Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed samples): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MCM7 encodes one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in replication fork formation and recruitment of other DNA replication-related proteins.
The MCM complex, including MCM2, MCM4, MCM6, and MCM7, possesses DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase (CDK4) associates with this protein and may regulate its interaction with the tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
