Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MCM7 encodes a protein that is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric MCM complex is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and participates in replication fork formation and recruitment of DNA replication-related proteins.
The MCM complex, including MCM2, 4, 6, and 7, exhibits DNA helicase activity and may function as a DNA unwinding enzyme. MCM7 also associates with cyclin D1-dependent kinase CDK4, which may regulate its interaction with the tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
