Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD73 (Ecto-5'-nucleotidase, 5'-ribonucleotide phosphohydrolase) catalyzes the conversion of purine 5'-mononucleotides to nucleosides at neutral pH, with AMP as the preferred substrate.
It is a dimer of two identical 70 kDa subunits bound externally to the plasma membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage.
CD73 serves as a marker of lymphocyte differentiation, and its deficiency is associated with certain immunodeficiency diseases.
The CD73 gene is localized to chromosome 6q14–q21.
Defects in this gene can lead to calcification of joints and arteries, and intestinal tuberculosis.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
