Antibody detects endogenous levels of CHK2 only when phosphorylated at Ser33+Ser35.
Target Information
CHEK2 (CHK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in the DNA damage checkpoint pathway. Mutations in CHK2 are linked to various cancers. CHK2 activation by DNA damage leads to phosphorylation of cell cycle regulators, including tumor suppressor proteins. It can phosphorylate BRCA1, aiding survival after DNA damage. CHK2 mutations are associated with Li-Fraumeni syndrome, sarcomas, breast cancer, and brain tumors.
