Target Information
STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) is a 379-amino-acid signaling protein essential for innate immune signaling. It activates NF-κB and IRF3 transcription pathways, inducing type I interferons (IFN-α, IFN-β) and promoting antiviral responses. STING is involved in apoptotic signaling via MHC-II interactions and ERK pathway activation. It is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, cell membrane, and mitochondrial outer membrane, and is ubiquitously expressed in most tissues.
