For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during various stages of the cell cycle (late G1, S, G2, and M phases). It contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain that mediates association with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus.
Ki-67 shows cell cycle-dependent localization: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase. It serves as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells but increases steadily from G1 through mitosis.
Ki-67 antibodies are widely used to determine the proliferative fraction of cells in neoplasms, with prognostic value comparable to the thymidine-labeling index. Low Ki-67 index correlates strongly with low-grade tumors.
It is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
