Target Information
Protein arginine N-methyltransferase 6 (PRMT6)는 type I PRMT 활성을 가지며, glycine- 및 arginine-rich 기질에서 omega-N monomethylarginine 및 asymmetric dimethylarginine 유도체를 형성합니다.
PRMT6는 ESR1, ESR2, PGR, NR3C1 등 다양한 스테로이드 호르몬 수용체의 전사 공동활성인자로 작용하며, CRTC2의 메틸화를 통해 포도당신생합성 관련 유전자 발현을 촉진합니다. 또한 HIV-1 감염 시 Tat, Rev, Nucleocapsid protein p7 등의 기능을 저해하여 선천 면역에 관여할 수 있습니다.
