For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Alpha Actinin 1 belongs to the spectrin gene superfamily, which includes cytoskeletal proteins such as alpha/beta spectrins and dystrophins.
Alpha actinin is an actin-binding protein with multiple roles in various cell types:

• In nonmuscle cells: localized along microfilament bundles and adherens-type junctions, binding actin to the membrane.
• In muscle cells (skeletal, cardiac, smooth): localized to the Z-disc and dense bodies, anchoring myofibrillar actin filaments.

This gene encodes a nonmuscle, cytoskeletal alpha-actinin isoform and maps to the same locus as the erythroid beta spectrin gene.
Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
