Target Information
Vimentin은 중간 필라멘트 단백질(Intermediate Filament Protein, IFP)로, 주로 간엽성 기원의 세포에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 핵과 세포막 사이의 단백질 수송에 관여하며, 세포 발달 초기 단계에서 desmin과 함께 발현됩니다.
발달이 진행되면 조직 특이적 IFP로 대체됩니다.
또한 Vimentin은 스테로이드 합성 속도 조절에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 인산화에 의해 중간 필라멘트 분해 및 세포골격 재구성이 유도됩니다.
이 과정은 미토콘드리아와의 상호작용을 촉진하여 콜레스테롤 수송 및 스테로이드 합성을 증가시킵니다.
