Target Information
Vimentin은 중간 필라멘트 단백질(IFP)로, mesenchymal 세포에서 발현됩니다. 세포 내 단백질의 핵과 세포막 간 이동에 관여하며, 세포 발달 초기에는 desmin과 함께 발현됩니다. 발달 과정 중에는 조직 특이적 IFP로 교체됩니다.
Vimentin은 스테로이드 합성 속도 조절과 관련이 있으며, 단백질 인산화에 의해 intermediate filament가 분해되고 세포골격 재배열을 통해 미토콘드리아 내 콜레스테롤 수송을 촉진합니다. 이는 스테로이드 합성 증가로 이어집니다.
