Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is directed against the FLAG™ epitope tag and is useful for detecting overexpressed proteins in various assays. It recognizes the FLAG™ epitope tag (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy- termini of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
The DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is a short peptide sequence used for protein purification, detection, and localization. It consists of eight amino acids: Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys. Commonly fused to the N- or C-terminus of proteins, it enables easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry, it supports protein-protein interaction studies, expression analysis, and localization research. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein function.
