Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) at 95°C for 45 minutes, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
PAX5 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. These proteins are key regulators in early development, and changes in their expression may contribute to neoplastic transformation.
PAX5 (also known as BSAP) is expressed at early stages of B-cell differentiation but not in late stages. It is also detected in developing CNS and testis, suggesting roles in neural development and spermatogenesis. Mutations in PAX5 are associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
