Target Information
The TBC1D1 gene encodes a microtubule-associated protein predominantly expressed in epithelial cells. These proteins are involved in microtubule dynamics, essential for cell polarization and differentiation. TBC1D1 stabilizes microtubules and may modulate their functions. Studies in mouse models suggest an essential role in microtubule function required for spermatogenesis.
