Antibody detects endogenous levels of TLK1 only when phosphorylated at Ser743.


Target Information

TLK1 (Tousled-like kinase 1) is a nuclear serine/threonine kinase involved in chromatin assembly regulation. Originally described in Arabidopsis, TLK1 is a novel target of the DNA damage checkpoint and is rapidly inactivated upon exposure to ionizing radiation. This inactivation is mediated by the S-phase DNA damage checkpoint. TLK1 activity suppression after DNA double-strand breaks, replication blockade, or UV irradiation requires ATM, NBS, and CHK1.
