Under non-reducing conditions, intact IgG appears as a ~150 kDa band, and under reducing conditions, generates ~25 kDa light chain and ~50 kDa heavy chain bands.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, screen individual clones, and select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
IL-6 encodes a cytokine involved in inflammation and B cell maturation. The IL-6 protein acts as an endogenous pyrogen, inducing fever during autoimmune diseases or infections. It is expressed at sites of acute and chronic inflammation, secreted into serum, and mediates inflammatory responses through the interleukin 6 receptor alpha.
This gene is implicated in various inflammation-associated diseases, including diabetes mellitus susceptibility and systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Elevated IL-6 levels are observed in viral infections such as COVID-19 (caused by SARS-CoV-2). Diseases associated with IL-6 include Kaposi Sarcoma and Systemic Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
