This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse, rabbit, and rat based on sequence homology.

Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

CXCR5 (C-X-Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. It is a G protein-coupled seven-transmembrane receptor for chemokine BLC.

CXCR5 is specifically expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphatic tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen. It plays an essential role in B cell migration. Expression has been reported in human blood, salivary glands, and various animal organs including lymphatic organs, bone marrow, brain, liver, lymph node, skin, spleen, stomach, and tonsil.

ESTs have been isolated from human brain, germ cell, lung, lymph, and pancreas.

G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) form one of the largest families of signaling molecules, sharing a structural motif of seven membrane-spanning helices. GPCRs exist in both active and inactive forms, with activation leading to signaling via G-proteins and downstream effectors.
