• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, contains six repeated domains homologous with epidermal growth factor (EGF) and an amino-terminal domain homologous to lectin-like protein.
Through its accelerated activation of protein C, TM synthesis plays a key role in maintaining thrombo-resistance, reducing clot formation on the endothelial cell surface.
Immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissues for TM has been used in studies of vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
