• Antibody is tested in direct ELISA (use 2–4 µg/mL for coating).
• For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, is a glycoprotein expressed on endothelial cells. It contains six EGF-like domains and a lectin-like amino terminal domain. TM accelerates activation of protein C, playing a crucial role in maintaining thrombo-resistance and preventing clot formation on endothelial surfaces. Immunohistochemical staining for TM is useful in studying vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
