Target Information
Cytoplasmic dyneins are large enzyme complexes (~1,200 kDa) composed of two force-producing heads formed primarily from dynein heavy chains, and stalks linking the heads to a basal domain containing accessory intermediate chains. These complexes are involved in intracellular transport and motility.
DYNLL1 is a light chain component of this complex and also interacts with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), inhibiting its activity by destabilizing the nNOS dimer. This interaction may regulate various biological processes through modulation of nitric oxide synthase activity.
