Product Specific Information
- Overlaps 100% with all three isoforms of CD74.
- A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45384 detects CD74 (~33 kDa) in 15 µg of B-cell lymphoma cell line Raji by ECL immunoblot using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
Target Information
HLA-DR, a member of the MHC class II family, is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB). The DRA gene includes five exons, encoding the leader peptide, extracellular domains, transmembrane region, and cytoplasmic tail.
HLA-DR is primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T cells. It plays a key role in presenting intracellularly processed peptides to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
Typing for DRB1 polymorphisms is routinely performed in bone marrow and kidney transplantation.
