Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use.
Reacts specifically with human MEK2. Cross-reactivity is expected with mouse and rat based on sequence identity. This antibody does not react with the MEK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2) is a dual-specificity serine/threonine kinase involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. MEK2 (MAPKK2) activates ERK1/2 and MAPK enzymes by phosphorylating both residues within the TEY motif in the activation loop. MEK1 and MEK2 are activated by dual phosphorylation on serine 218 and 222. Threonine 292 of MEK1 is phosphorylated by ERK2, providing negative feedback regulation.
